SATs - WC 11/05/26
Year 6,
As SATs begin, remember how far you have already come. You have worked incredibly hard, shown resilience and faced every challenge with determination. These tests are simply a chance to show what you know — they do not define who you are.
Believe in yourselves, stay calm and take each question one step at a time. Read carefully, trust your instincts and keep going even if something feels tricky. We are all so proud of the effort, attitude and growth you have shown throughout the year.
Most importantly, remember that you are more than a test score. Your kindness, character, creativity and perseverance matter far more.
Go in with confidence and do your very best — that is all anyone can ask.
Good luck Year 6 — you’ve got this!

Dear Parent/Carer,
Just a reminder, Oak Class children will be taking their SATs this coming week, beginning 11th May 2026.
Whilst we have been working hard to prepare the children in school, there are ways you as parents will be able to help too!
- Ensure your child gets enough sleep – be in bed (and asleep) at a reasonable time.
- Limit the amount of time spent on devices and games before bedtime.
- Make sure they eat breakfast (this can be in school)
- Encourage them to talk to their teachers if they have any concerns or worries.
Breakfast club will be available free of charge for all Oak Class children during SATs week from 8.15 am. Please encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity so they can be with their friends in school early, ready and prepared.
Thank you for continuing to support our fantastic Year 6 students. They are doing really well and working hard.
Regards,
Mr Wilson
