Curriculum Overview
Please have a look at the 'Curriculum Overview' below to find out about all the new things we will be learning about this half term.
Reading and Spelling
When reading with your child, it is really important to discuss what they have read and ask questions, this will help with their understanding and comprehension skills. We would also ask you to encourage them to have a go at reading independently. If your child is a little more exeprienced and can read independently, we would also encourage you to ask questions to check their understanding of what they have read.
Spellings and tables will be tested on a Friday. Please encourage your child to practise their spellings and tables at home regularly, not only will this help them achieve a good score, it will also impact massively on their self esteem.
